Circulation Services
You must present a library card in order to check out materials.
If the card is lost or stolen a $2.00 fee is charged for a replacement.
Your library card also gives you access to all online databases
and downloadable materials subscribed to by the library.
Resident
Card: Anyone who resides or owns property in the Park City
boundaries (yellow area of map) is entitled to a free library card.
Proof of address of property rented or owned within these boundaries
is required. A current Utah driver's license, utility bill, rental
lease, or automobile registration with your street address are all
acceptable. A P.O. Box does not qualify. There is a 20 item checkout
limit per card.
Non-resident Card: An annual fee of $40 per household
is charged. All household members over five years of age are entitled
to cards and full library privileges. There is a 20 item checkout
limit per card.
City Limits Visitor: Any person residing within
Park City boundaries, but visiting or staying in town for a limited
time, is considered a City Limits Visitor. Visitor status may range
from overnight up to six months. No fee is required to obtain this
card. Timeshare owners are City Limits Visitors. The check-out limit
on this card is five items. This card is good for six months and
may not be renewed.
Non-City Limits Visitor: Any person visiting
or temporarily residing outside of the Park City boundaries is considered
to be a Non-City Limits Visitor. Visitor status may range from overnight
up to six months. A $20.00 fee is required for a six-month Non-City
Limits Visitor card. The check-out limit on this card is five items.
This card is good for six months and may not be renewed.
Student Cards: Summit County Student Cards are
free. This card is for any student, ages 5-18, residing in Summit
County. A parent or legal guardian must sign the child's library
card application in person at the library. A limit of 7 items may
be checked out at one time.
Wasatch County Student Cards are available for a $15 annual fee.

Item Limits (per card ): 3 videos. 3 DVDs. 6 audio
cassette sets. 4 CD books. 6 music CDs.
Renewals: You may renew any item twice in person,
by telephone (435 615-5600) or from home through our online catalog.
Items that are on hold for another patron may not be renewed. Please
have your library card handy when renewing by phone.
Holds: If you would like an item that is currently
loaned, you may place it on hold at the Library by telephone, or
from home through our online catalog. We will call you when the
item becomes available.
Interlibrary Loans: If we
do not have the material you need, you may request an Interlibrary
Loan. This service can take two to four weeks and costs $1.00 per
book. Request a form at the Library, call 435-615-5600, or fill
out a request online.
Lost or Damaged Items: The replacement cost plus
a $5.00 processing fee will be charged for a lost item. Damaged
items are assessed on an individual basis. A notice is sent and
the fee is noted in the patron's record.
Caution! Checkout and renewal privileges may be blocked if a patron
has overdue items, outstanding fines or damage fees.
Book Drop: The book drop is located outside the
Library and is available at all times.
Copy Machine: The copy machine is located near
the circulation desk. Cost is 10¢ per page.
Computer Services: 14 computer stations provide
Internet, word processing and spreadsheet capabilities. A library
card is not required to use the computers. Ask at the circulation
desk for a guest pass if needed. Black and white printing is available
for 10 cents per page. The children's room has a CDrom computer
and an Internet station.
