We are currently recruiting for the first ever
Park City Library
Teen Advisory Group (T.A.G.
team)
WHAT WILL I BE DOING AS A T.A.G. MEMBER?
Meeting at least once a month as a group to eat PIZZA
and brainstorm.
Examples of teen activities:
During the summer months, assist librarians during busy times
by handing out and explaining summer reading program materials
to children and teens.
Alphabetize children’s and young adult books
by author and shelve them.
Straighten up books on shelves and straighten up furnishings
in children’s room and teen room.
Help suggest and plan teen programs.
Help with children’s and teen programs:
o Help set up room before programs
o Help clean up room after program
o Take attendance by counting attendees
o Gather and arrange books for children’s and young adult
book displays.
o Prepare craft materials and bulletin boards.
WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF IT?

An opportunity to learn and practice a variety of job-related
skills.
Satisfaction from knowing that you are helping promote reading
and literacy in your community.
An opportunity to meet new people.
A pleasant working environment (cool in summer, warm in winter).
Volunteer experience, a welcome addition to college, scholarship,
and job applications.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR VOLUNTEERING?
Teens who want to (not because their parents are making them
do it).
Teens who are self-motivated and reliable.
Teens who are 14 years and older.

Fill out the application and turn it in to the Circulation Desk
at the Park City Library. The volunteer coordinator, Heather
